Check the SHA-256
GitHub shows a SHA-256 digest next to each release file. These are the digests for build 75. After downloading, compare with certutil -hashfile <file> SHA256 (Windows), sha256sum <file> (Linux) or shasum -a 256 <file> (macOS).

Install steps by platform
Windows
- Download one of the two zip files.
- Extract the entire archive into its own folder (the README says to extract the whole build, not just the exe).
- Run
lichii.exe.eden-cli.exein the same folder is the command-line version.
Linux
- AppImage:
chmod +x lichii-linux-x86_64-pgo.AppImage, then run it. It bundles its libraries and needs glibc 2.39 or newer. - tar.gz: extract and run
./lichiior./eden-cli. It uses your system libraries, so Qt 6 must be installed.
macOS
- Unzip (or open the dmg) and move
lichii.appto Applications. - The app is not notarized: the first time, right-click it and choose Open, or run
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine lichii.appas the release notes say. eden-cliis inside the app, inContents/MacOS.
Avoid fake “Switch 2 emulator” downloads
A new emulator with a lot of attention attracts copycat sites. Signs that a download is not Lichii:
- It is not on
github.com/zortos293/Lichii. The old addressgithub.com/zortos293/Eglantineredirects to the same repository; any other owner name is someone else. - It is an APK, an iOS app, or a single “setup.exe” installer. Lichii ships none of these.
- It comes bundled with a “BIOS”, keys, firmware or games, or promises “all games included”. The project ships none of these.
- It asks for a survey, a payment, a “premium” or “early access” fee, or a password from another site. The README says every release is free and public.
- The file name or size does not match the tables above, or the SHA-256 is different.

FAQ
Where is the official Lichii download?
On GitHub only: github.com/zortos293/Lichii/releases. The latest is build 75, tag build-75, published November 5, 2026. All releases are pre-releases, so GitHub’s “latest release” shortcut does not point to them: open the Releases list instead.
Which Windows file should I download?
Start with lichii-windows-x86_64-pgo.zip (66.6 MB), the build the notes mark as recommended. Use lichii-windows-x86_64.zip (115.8 MB, MSVC) if you have an NVIDIA RTX card and want DLSS, or if the PGO build shows graphical problems.
Is there a Lichii APK for Android?
No. The releases contain Windows, Linux and macOS files only. The repository still has Android source code inherited from Eden, but no APK is published. A “Lichii APK” from any other site is not from the project.
Is there a Lichii installer .exe?
No. Windows builds are portable zip files: extract them and run lichii.exe. A download that is a single “Lichii setup .exe”, a password-protected archive, or a file that asks you to complete a survey is not official.
Does Lichii update itself?
Since build 75 the in-app updater checks Lichii’s own GitHub releases and picks the file for your platform (#82). You can always download manually from the Releases page instead.
What does PGO mean in the file names?
Profile-guided optimisation. The release notes say the PGO builds are the same programs compiled with clang using Eglantine’s profile, and to prefer them when your CPU supports them. The Windows PGO zip is a MinGW build without NVIDIA DLSS.
